ASUS M2V
Mark: Good This is in an OEM "white box" system built to specification for a customer that needed to replace a dying OS/2 system.
- Chipset: VIA K8T890, VIA VT8237A
- Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3800+ AM2 socket (2.4GHz)
- RAM: Four 1GB Kingston KVR800D2N5/1G (4GB total)
- Drive: Seagate Barracuda ST3320620AS 320GB Serial ATA (SATA)
- CD/DVD: ASUS DRW-1612BL 16x16 DVD+/-RW (not tested for writing)
- Floppy: TEAC FD-235HF
- Removable: USB SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4GB (given a LVM volume with DFSee version 8.xx then formatted with HPFS on the system)
- Video: ASUS Extreme AX300SE-X 128MB PCI-E (works with included SNAP drivers)
On-board gigabit NIC not recognized by eComStation 1.2R and 2.0b4 nor by any of the three Linux distributions I tried to see if I could find out what it is. I installed a 3Com 3C905C-TX-M 10/100 NIC for the customer.
Installed OS: eComStation 1.2R (works fine when using updated DaniS506 on an update floppy during install)
Tested OS: eComStation 2.0b4 (works fine "out of the box")
